QUILT PREPARATION

Stay-stitch 1/8-inch from the edge for stability.

Please read the Quilt Preparation Guide. It gives some general tips to make sure your quilt top is ready to load onto the quilt frame for longarm quilting.

 Quilt preparation includes:

  • piecing, trimming to size or squaring the backing fabric;

  • pressing the quilt top, trimming threads, repairing loose seams; or

  • stay-stitching the quilt top (when there are seams along the outer edges).
